Pseudo-girl in China

In the common sense we do believe that a boy should be muscular like the athletes dressing jets jerseys playing football in the field and being drenched in sweat. A cross-dressing competitor has triggered a major controversy after participating in Hunan TV’s 2010 Happy Boys.
Liu Zhu, 19, from Sichuan province, who has been nicknamed “pseudo-girl” by his fans, has risen to stardom overnight with his cross-dressing performance in the competition.
Though Liu’s appearance has boosted the program’s ratings and popularity, the program had voted him out during the show on Saturday night
According to Chinese media reports, it is said that Liu’s vote-out was requested by the country’s State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT). The Beijing Youth Daily report said SARFT demands the country’s TV programs to promote positive and mainstream cultures, while the “pseudo-girl” and cross-dressing phenomenon, as part of a marginal culture, should be checked. But Hunan TV dismissed the news as a rumor.
“I have faced a lot of criticism about the way I look, but all I can do is speak less and do more.” Liu said.
He said he would quit the reality show if he was asked to dress up like a man for the camera.
He said he had been dressing up in women’s clothing since high school, adding that it was his “true identity”.
”I used to be very confused with my identity, but now all the problems have been solved.”
Happy Boys’ Chengdu division spokesman Zhao Zhe said: “Liu does not have any psychological burden about his identity, but like every other competitor, he too is under great pressure to perform.”

Happy Boys is not the only show in the country that has earned the public’s wrath for objectionable content.

Luo Yufeng, an Internet star who shot to fame with her bold remarks, was struck with eggs at a live broadcast of Dragon TV’s China Talent Show recently.

Qinghai TV’s talent show Blossoming Flowers is also under fire for staging a young female student named Diao Yang to dress up like a bunny girl.

The show has also had its contestants walk in a public square wearing bikinis.
Tony Liu, a music promoter based in Beijing, said, once this issue hits the mainstream, the TV station wins.
“If you look back at similar shows created by Hunan TV, you will see one thing in common: a singer who triggers a nationwide debate during the auditions round. So I’m not that surprised to see transsexuals this time around.”

“You can never be a real star through a talent show, and you will discover that in the end only the TV station will win.”
Zhang Zhihua, a lecturer at the TV and Journalism School at the Communication University of China, said a lack of a mature subscribe-and-watch system in the country is to blame for the current “bizarre” television content.
”China does not have a mature paid TV environment, which forces most of the satellite channels to rely on advertising revenue, which is only influenced by audience ratings.”
”In order to increase ratings, many shows try to challenge the audience by presenting subcultures and vulgarity, which is why SARFT needs to set up regulations from time to time.”
Zhang assured that the average viewer’s taste has not stooped to a new low.
Zhang added that though television programs need to make profits, they should still shoulder the responsibility of presenting positive ideas to the public.

Wade shook off the pain to score 32 points and Miami pulled into a tie for fifth place in the Eastern Conference with a 111-98 victory over the Knicks on Sunday night. The Heat put six players in double figures and got some well-timed spurts from Wade late in each of the last three quarters to keep extending their lead. Haslem said when they did go through a little offensive drought or whatever you want to call it, he stepped up and made plays. Got to the rim, made some and-1s, got to the free throw line, kind of slowed the game down, gave them a chance to catch their breath.

Wade always gave the Knicks a big blow: His fouth best as 28.8 points per game in 16 previous games against an opponent. He contributed a few good flurries, but did not have to be special because so many teammates had good nights.

Dirk Nowitzki with mavericks jersey was known for his scoring and rebounding in the NBA. But the ALL-STAR forwrd also prides himself on his passing.

Nowitzki had 34 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for his second career triple-double as the Mavericks maintained the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference with a 109-93 victory over the Denver Nuggets late Monday. His first 16 double-doubles this season were for points and rebounds. But with the Nuggets throwing double-teams at him, Nowitzki passed to open teammates for easy baskets. Nowitzki said that’s when they’re at their best, sharing the ball. Nowitzki reached double-digits in assists when he dished to Jason Terry for a 19-foot jumper that gave Dallas a 107-89 advantage with 2:15 left.

They ran that last play for Nowitzki to get that last assist for Jet and that was a great play design.

Forward Hedo Turkoglu with raptors jersey was back in the rotation on Monday night against Chalotte, but not as a starter.

Turkoglu, who signed a five-year, $53 million free-agent deal with the Raptors last offseason, was a healthy scratch for the first time in over seven years in Sunday’s loss to Miami. That came after reports that he was seen out on the town hours after missing Friday’s loss to Denver with a stomach virus. Coach Jay Triano started Antoine Wright ahead of Turkoglu, but said he would play as the Raptors try to stop a late-season slide that has put a playoff spot in jeopardy.

Triano said it’s something that they deal with internally. Over and down with. That was yesterday and we move on to today.

Rookie point guard and leading scorer Tyreke Evans with kings jersey is not ready to return from a concussion and will miss the team’s next two road games.

The team says he will be re-evaluated Monday. Nets chief executive Brett Yormark is not one to let a marketing opportunity go astray.

Two days after a brief finger-pointing exchange with a fan who wore a paper bag on his head to protest the Nets’ dismal season, Yormark came prepared for more potential protesters during Wednesday’s game against Sacramento. Any fan who put a paper bag on his head would be offered a nylon Nets’ bag containing a poster, a pack of player trading cards and a printed note from Yormark that said:“Thanks for letting us see your face. We hope to see it more often at Nets’ games.
Players with nets jerseys are risk to have the record for fewest wins in an NBA season, set b y the Sixers in 1972-73.

Crawford gets his chance to playoffs

It seemed a little longer for Jamal Crawford with hawks jersey to wait for his way to the NBA playoffs for the first time.

The Atlanta Hawks’ sixth-man extraordinaire is eagerly looking forward to his postseason debut, but nothing comes easy for a guy who’s spent most of his career playing for some of the league’s worst teams. Take this past Sunday night, when the Hawks thought they had clinched their spot with an overtime win over San Antonio. Not so fast. Turns out, an improbable scenario had been overlooked: A possible four-way tie for the last three spots, which would leave Atlanta on the outside.

It’s unbelievable to Crawford who cant imagine they will get there.

Picture the NBA free agency period beginning and Michael Jordan is on the phone making a recruiting pitch to LeBron James with cavaliers jersey.

Now the Hall of Famer owns the team. Jordan’s agenda is not just being a big player in frr agency. Jordan is preaching patience with his roster. He is vowing not to get into luxury tax territory with his payroll and showing distaste for what he feels is overblown hype for free agency this summer. After $275 million purchase of the team, Jorday said that it does not guarantee the Newy York is going to be in the playoffs. If he was to unload everybody on their team just they can clear space.

The league office has told teams the luxury tax threshold-they have to pay a dollar for dollar tax for going over.
